每到一個地方,我都一定會去參觀當地的市集,有些市集賣衫,有些賣古董,而我最喜愛的就是賣食物的市集。出差的週未,去了一敞倫敦當地的有名市集,真是一個充滿地道特色的活動。在Portobella Rd的咖啡店買早餐,跟著人群尋找寶藏。下午到Borough Market,吃來自世界各地的美食,是另一種感受倫敦多源文化的好方法。

Borough Market (去過) – a range of fresh produce including fruit, veg and all kinds of meat, as well as condiments, bakery treats and delicious street food.
Brick Lane Market – bric-a-brac, second-hand furniture, shoes and lots more.
Broadway Market – delicious ingredients, tasty ready-made food, exciting and unusual clothes and gifts as well as furniture, lighting and more!
Camden Market (去過) – extensive range of goods from designer clothes and accessories, to one-off pieces of art and furnishings.
Columbia Road Flowers – plants, shrubs, bulbs and trees, a must-see, super colourful street market in East London.
Convent Garden Market (去過) – specialty shops, restaurants & cafés, you’re sure to be entertained by street performers while perusing the wares on offer.
Greenwich Market – enticing range of jewellery, pictures, clothes and accessories, and unique gifts.
Old SpitalFields Market – a popular covered market selling everything from clothes to food to artwork.
Portobello Road Market (去過) – everything from fruit and bread to posters, clothes, music and, of course, loads of antiques!

If travelling by Taxi ask to get out on the corner of Westbourne Grove and Portobello Road, this should only be a short ride from the west end area and only about 10 minutes from the Hyde Park area.
By Tube, the best way of all … go to Notting Hill Gate Station and follow the crowd – yes really, you can’t go wrong! The market starts about a five minute walk from the tube station.
By Bus, many buses from Victoria, Oxford Street, Hyde Park Corner and Kensington High Street come close to Portobello, buses include: 7, 12, 23, 27, 28, 31, 52, 70 & 328, the driver should let you know the right stop to take.

Travel by train and underground:
The Market is located right next to London Bridge Station which is serviced by the Jubilee and Northern Lines on the Underground and by overground trains from all over London and the south of England. To find us, simply exit the station and cross Borough High Street – you can’t miss us!
